This was how Senator Antonio Trillanes IV described the first year in office of President Rodrigo Duterte.

The President will mark his first anniversary as the country’s top leader on June 30.
“Ginulo niya ang Pilipinas,” said Trillanes, a critic of Mr. Duterte.

Asked how would he assess the President’s first year in office, Trillanes said, “Lagapak. Talagang massive failure ito. Epic failure itong administrasyon ni Duterte on all fronts.”
The senator claimed that the government failed to address traffic woes as he was still grappling to improve the services of the Metro Rail Transit (MRT) line.

Iyung MRT (Metro Rail Transit) nag-improve ba? Hindi. Lumala. Ito yung mga pinangako nila ha,” Trillanes said in a media forum.

He is disgusted that Duterte took many Filipinos for a ride during the presidential campaign period. Sabi nila noon, mag re restore law nd order or peace and order. Ngayon ba peaceful ba sa bansa?”

Pressed whether the President failed in all aspect of governance, Trillanes said, “Definitely.

He was referring to the President’s all-out war against drugs which led to the extrajudicial killing (EJK) of suspected drug dealers and drug users. The Chief Executive has denied any hand in the alleged “salvaging” of drug personalities.
